By profession, I am an academician in Computer Science and a research consultant.

1. PhD Thesis :

“Design of New and Efficient Algorithms for Robot Motion planning in 3D  Environment”.

This research was carried out under the grant sanctioned by the AICTE Govt of India to the research supervisor.

One of the many features needed to support the activities of autonomous Robot systems is the ability to plan motion using vision. Motion planning enables the Robot to move in its environment securely and to accomplish a given task. There has been considerable research in the field of mobile robot navigation. However, relatively few complete and working  systems  have  been  reported  using  vision.    In  this thesis, new and efficient algorithms for  Robot motion planning in a 3D environment have been developed using Computer Vision and Soft Computing tools.

2. M.Tech. Thesis :

Neuro-Fuzzy Techniques for Terrain Analysis and  3-Dimensional Motion Planning

In this work,   a novel method using image processing is proposed to solve the motion planning of a Robot, in a 3-Dimensional static environment, by considering the surface properties  of the terrain and applying Neuro-Fuzzy techniques to classify the terrain. Neuro-Fuzzy classification helps in isolating obstacles (unsafe regions) from safe regions based on the threshold values defined.
